I’m Kris from Zomtape

a wedding filmmaker who’s here to tell stories that feel like home.

I’m Kris from Zomtape

safe, seen and deeply loved.

The kind of films that bring you back to how it all felt —

I’ve always been drawn to the small moments and the real connections on a wedding day. That’s what I look for when I film — how it feels to be there.

Your wedding isn’t about getting the perfect shot. It’s about being surrounded by your people and feeling grounded in the moment. It’s the way you feel right after you are announced as one!

That’s the kind of story I want to tell.

A memory that feels like you, that you can relive over and over again.

nostalgic wedding filmmaker

Capturing moments as they truly are, raw and unscripted, without staging or directing. My films are genuine reflections of each couple's unique love story, preserving the real emotions and connections that make your day special.

Authenticity

I am driven by a deep love for people and a passion for showcasing the beauty of human connections. I believe in the power of love, unity, and inclusion, and I bring a compassionate approach to every wedding, treating each couple like family.

love & compassion

Every film I create has a deeper purpose: to celebrate the divine nature of marriage and provide couples with a timeless keepsake of their love story. I approach each project with intentionality, ensuring that every frame serves a meaningful role in telling your story authentically and beautifully.

From the police academy to telling love stories

Before I became a wedding filmmaker, I was fully committed to becoming a police officer, then a firefighter. I just really wanted to help people and that felt like the most direct route there.

And honestly, every couple I've worked with since has only made me more sure of that.

But somewhere along the way I fell down a rabbit hole of cameras, lighting and editing, and honestly I never really came back up. My wife bought me my first cinema camera, a friend got engaged and asked me to film their wedding, and between setting up that first shot and watching the edit back, I realized this was it.

at home with my wife and daughter, which is genuinely my favourite place to be right now — I became a dad recently and I'm fully, embarrassingly obsessed with it. There's almost always Chipotle involved, usually a good playlist, and a very mediocre attempt at a chill day that somehow still ends up being perfect.

When I'm not filming you'll probably find me

Slow, at home, watching a movie, chipotle, music.
